About Us
Your hosts – Helen and Bruce.
Dakibomon Lodge is a grand homestead set on 7.84 hectares of rural splendour overlooking the magnificent Glasshouse Mountains. At the heart of the property is our coffee plantation, dam and Coonowrin Creek which runs the length of the northern boundry. Beyond are the surrounding pineapple fields, small crops, National Parks and State forests which make up the balance of this inspiring and ever changing landscape, just awaiting your arrival.
Our home, which has been lovingly built and decorated for your pleasure, was inspired by
a strong desire to create a private and secure country retreat where one can relax and feel away from it all. This passion has developed into an ongoing project which we feel is so special that it deserves to be shared.
We invite you to join us and awaken to the many beautiful facets of the Glasshouse Mountains and their ancient legends, bushland, birdsong, and warm country hospitality.
Dakibomon : Stone Standing Up. The name given by the Joondoburri Tribe of Aboriginal people on Bribie Island for the Glasshouse Mountains.
